Introducing the TTT_Ableton Template by TOUTANT
I’m sharing here the Ableton template I use to start every single track.
This template is the result of several years of production and refinement.
Over time, I came to a clear conclusion: a simple template, without excessive tracks, offers far greater creative freedom.

What you’ll find inside this template:
• “Structure” track
A simple MIDI track used to visually map the structure of a track using color-coded MIDI blocks.
It allows me to quickly understand the arrangement and makes looping, moving, or deleting sections much faster and more intuitive.
• “Drop Structure” track
A dedicated track to quickly sketch how I want my drops to be structured.
• “Harmo Recap” track
This track contains all harmonic information related to the track: chord progressions, harmonic ideas, key references, etc.
It gives me an instant overview of where I am harmonically.
• “Ghost” track
This is a crucial track.
It acts as the main trigger for all my MIDI and audio sidechains, everything centralized in one place.
Macros allow fast control over attack and trigger length for both audio and MIDI.
Thanks to Ableton’s External Instrument device, you can route the MIDI to any plugin and track you want.

Simple, functional track groups that are a constant part of my creative workflow:
- Drums Bus
A dedicated drums bus composed of:-
A Kick group
-
A Snare / Hi-Hats / Percussion track
-
A basic MIDI pattern is already written to speed up the early stages of creation and quickly sketch the groove and overall structure of a track.
- Bass Group
Composed of two tracks:-
Bass
-
Sub
-
This is a layering approach I use in almost all of my productions.
- Additional Groups
Three other simple groups dedicated to: -
-
Synth
-
voices
-
FX
-
These groups cover the essential elements I rely on during my sound design and arrangement process.
TTT_ basic Master Chain:

On the master of this template, you’ll find:
-
EQ Eight
-
Spectrum

Utility
-

These are Ableton stock plugins, used in the exact order I apply on my masters.
This template is designed to start any project quickly and efficiently.
It’s straightforward, fast to use, and built for demanding electronic music producers like myself, working in genres such as dark techno, dark electro, industrial electro, cyberpunk, and downtempo.
